Welcome

I’ve been writing stories “inside my head” since I was a young kid walking to elementary school. Some of those stories were as short as the length of the trip, some would take several days to finish. When one was done, I’d start another, but I never wrote them down, not even as an adult.

In 2002, I took the plunge and signed up for a 10-week Creative Writing Workshop. That decision changed my life. In 2003, I left the comfort of corporate life to become a fulltime freelance journalist and editor. It hasn’t always been easy, but I’ve never looked back.

Today, I’m the author of two mystery series, several short stories, two books on publishing, the publisher of three (soon to be four) multi-author mystery anthologies, and more Works in Progress than I care to admit. My objective with this website and blog is to honestly share my writing journey with posts about the writing and publishing process. I’ve also included some fun stuff like Facts in Fiction and Food & Drink.

I welcome comments and feedback from readers and other authors and will always try to respond in a timely manner. If you’re in the area where I’m attending an event, please stop by and introduce yourself.
